Ignite’s catch phase is “enlighten us, but make it quick“.  One of the previous speakers described it as “speed dating for ideas“.  More specifically we’d like to keep the talks focused on entrepreneurship and/or technology.  This is the heart of what Ignite is about.  We normally have one or two left-of-field talks but most of you should be thinking about enlightening us.

Ignite is a global event, organised by volunteers, where participants are given five minutes to speak about their ideas and personal or professional passions, accompanied by 20 slides. Each slide is displayed for 15 seconds, and slides are automatically advanced. The Ignite format is similar to Pecha Kucha, which features 20 slides displayed for 20 seconds each.
